again verify after each mod, that the game is running without ctd's (and always make a new merged patch so that new mods can be included).
#New vegas infinite loading screen mod
activate them one by one: bigger mods, like electro city, fellout, more perks and traits, interior lightining overhaul should be enabled first (one by one), verify that the game works after each mod you've activated and then proceed with smaller ones.
#New vegas infinite loading screen trial
I suggest deactivating everything and do the trial and error thing. at the end the game was heavily modded, but quite stable. only then I started adding smaller stuff, like holster, backpacks, single weapon mods, even toyed around with the geck a bit.

happened to me in fallout 3, until I learned how to use the bashed patch and decided to stick with mostly popular and stable mods. you're not the first one to experience sudden crashes, unfortunately this is how the gamebryo engine shows you the finger sometimes. I see many small accessoir and suits mods, so perhaps they're somehow interfering with each other and/or other mods. It's difficult for me to give you specific advice on how to manage your load order, because most of the mods you're using are unknown to me. but if it worked for you, then it's fine I guess. merged patch has to be at the very bottom of your modlist or problems may occur.

Windows 7 did report the game had stopped responding for a few seconds but I was able to leave the Mormon Fort and quick save, then I came here.

I then tried again with it at the very top of the esp files but below the esms. Put it back in windowed, got the loading screen againĮdited by ForeverLost, 05 October 2011 - 05:11 PM. I'm not sure if this is coincedence but I just took the game out of windowed mode and launched it and got stuck with the infinite loading screen, As for playing New Vegas I plan to continue with the mods I have installed and with Mergedpatch.esp running but I'd like your input into what you think I should do in regards to mods.

I'm still confused as to why this would suddenly happen out of the blue when I have been in out of this area in the past with no trouble. I ran the game in windowed mode with mergedpatch.esp enabled at the bottom of my mod list, no such luck and it crashed. I ran FNVEdit using only the mods I have enabled ticked, I then was able to create the merged patch. I looked around but see no way to fix this by myself, here are the last lines of my message log: Check the message log and correct the error. make sure it's checked in the launcher (or whatever tool you're using) and start the gameĪgain, if nothing helps, you'll need to deactivate all mods and activate them one by one to find the culprit.Įdited by mooncarver, 04 October 2011 - 08:42 PM.Īfter I select all my mods and hit ok the program runs for a while then it pops up with this message:Īn error occured while loading modules. close the program, it'll show you the newly created esp, make sure it's checked and hit ok name it and wait till the process is complete, you'll see a new esp at the very bottom of your mod list now right-click on the left part (where your mods are listed), then click on create merged patch upon start you'll be presented with your modlist, make sure that everything is checked and hit ok download this bad boy: -> unpack everything into your NV game folder and run the program Otherwise, try the merged patch and see if it helps:

are you using FOMM or Wrye Flash to manage your mods? the latter has lock times on by default, which means BOSS can't rearrange the plugins (they revert back to their previous positions). I've assumed that you didn't use BOSS because, for example, nv-readius is very far down in your load order.
